CBX Woo Shipping by The Frozen Food Courier™ quotes cold-chain delivery at your WooCommerce checkout using our live rate card — it never hard-codes a price, so coverage and price changes land automatically. Customers in the service area see a rate; those outside can be offered a quote. You manage it from the Cibarix™ → Shipping console. To start, add the “TFFC” method to a WooCommerce shipping zone and it prices automatically.
How a rate is quoted
At checkout the delivery address is checked against the TFFC service area (the rate card, refreshed daily), then priced by route and weight — with a surcharge over 60 kg. You don’t set prices; they come from the rate card. The console’s Flow tab shows this as a live diagram, and the Lookup tab lets you test any postcode, suburb or town without building a cart.
The settings, and why they matter
- Store adjustment — optionally absorb (reduce) or uplift (add to — e.g. packaging) the price the customer pays. You remain liable to us for the full base rate, which is recorded on every order for reconciliation.
- Off-network → Request a Quote — for addresses we can’t price online, set a Quote provider so the customer can still ask for a price. With “None”, no rate and no quote link are shown for those addresses.
- Shipping promotions — waive or discount shipping by cart value, weight, product, category or customer role. Across rules the customer always gets the best (cheapest) match; no match means the full rate.
- Delivery statuses (optional) — turn on the TFFC workflow (Dispatch Ready → Scheduled → Delivered …) if you want it. It stands down automatically if another order-status plugin is active, to avoid a clash.
Working alongside other couriers (“step aside”)
Many stores ship cold-chain goods with us and dry/ambient goods with another courier. CBX Woo Shipping shares the checkout: it prices any cart containing a TFFC-handled item and steps aside (offers no rate) when a cart is made up entirely of goods another courier handles. You control this with a WooCommerce shipping class added to the method’s step-aside classes. Wherever it steps aside, make sure a local method covers that address so the customer is never stranded.
Installing & updating
We supply the plugin as a signed zip; upload it under Plugins → Add New → Upload, activate, and add the TFFC method to your shipping zone(s). After that it updates itself through WordPress from our secure hub — no manual re-uploads, and the rate card stays current on its own. It needs WooCommerce.
